GET ON THE WIDE SIDE with the PATC-MS Offwidth Clinic

  • Saturday, March 15, 2014
  • 9:00 AM
  • Pond Bank, PA

Registration is closed

Join us to discuss and put to practice techniques for climbing those awkward offwidths!

During the clinic, we'll go over:

  • Taping for offwidths
  • Various hand and fist stack combinations
  • Chicken wings
  • Elbow, knee, calf, and thigh locks
  • Heel-toe jams
  • Resting and breathing (yes, both are possible!)

Clinic registration is open to all PATC-MS members and will feature a women's mini-clinic to focus on body-size specifics.  Knowing how to hand jam will benefit you greatly in this clinic, but is not required.

Make sure to bring plenty of tape, wear long sleeves, and bring socks that cover your ankles.

We'll be practicing these techniques all while on top rope, but Pond Bank is a trad area and helmets are recommended.

Please note the Pond Bank climbing area is a bit tricky to get to and clinic location specifics will be sent in your registration confirmation email.

*Rock climbing is dangerous and may result in serious injury or death.
