PATC-MS is once again sponsoring a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course, to be held May 8-9 (full-day Saturday and Sunday).

The content and exercises will be tailored to climbing situations (leader falls, hypothermia, etc.). Successful completion of this course will result in Red Cross WFA certification for two years.

WFA is the typical certification level of non-professional settings. If you are interested in certification associated with employment in the outdoor industry the Wilderness First Responder (WFR) training may be more appropriate.

Registration is $182.50 pp. The cost for this course is very competitive because of our arrangements and a subsidy from the club.

Due to COVID-19 the registration is temporarily capped at 18.

Participants 19-24 will most likely get in, but are technically waitlisted until MEDIC, our course provider, formally raises the cap from 18 to 24.  (Waitlisted participants 19-24 will be refunded if they do not get a spot).

After registering here you will need to complete registration on MEDIC's website.
