Location
Seneca Rocks, WV

Registration is closed
OPEN TO ALL
On 07 November we will hold a Seneca trail work weekend. Please be prepared for some good hard work. At this event we will be working on a few fixes around the Stairmaster and the approach to the Cockscomb area. In addition, this is a great opportunity to learn about rigging systems using a Griphoist and/or rope puller and all the associated gear!
Registration is limited to 10 volunteers.
This is the max amount of people we can safely coordinate and effectively utilize. You don't necessarily need to be the burly strong type because we have lots of different jobs where people can help out. What you do need to bring is a good attitude to work hard and have fun giving back to the crag that gives us so much.
We will
meet at 8am at the Gendarme on Saturday
morning. Quitting time on is around 4pm.
Bring work gloves, water and a lunch. Wear a tough pair of long pants with good hiking shoes or work boots.
Helmets are mandatory for this one as we will be working at the base of climbs.
If possible, we'll have a cookout dinner on Saturday night at the Gendarme, sponsored by Friends of Seneca. Right now it depends how many people sign up.
Once we see the list on Thursday, we'll email all the volunteers to confirm camping arrangements, carpools, etc.
Great weekend to work one day, climb one day!
