During the 1940's and 1950's PATC Mountaineering Section members recorded a series of 16mm films highlighting climbing in the Washington Metro Area as well as the special belaying techniques they perfected.
In 1987, the Section of the produced a video that compiles several old color movies made by MS rock climbers in the 1940s at Great Falls, Virginia and Old Rag Mountain, Virginia. It also includes a black and white film from 1952 to demonstrate climbing techniques, at Carderock, Maryland, which features Oscar the dummy.
