• We are a diverse group of local climbers. Young and not so young, male and female, crag rat and alpinist, active and armchair types.
• We all enjoy climbing in its many varieties. 
• We climb locally or further afield, nearly every weekend and several times a year longer trips include the expedition-minded member.
• We publish a quarterly newsletter, UPROPE, now available online. Members have access to all historical UpRopes. Guests are welcome to download and view the latest edition here: Latest UpRope!
• We provide instruction through club trips and although we are NOT a school.
• We can get members up a rope in no time.
• We manage a LISTSERVER where our climbing community can communicate and post impromptu climbing trips.
• Finally, We gather for a monthly meeting to discuss club business, meet and socialize with area climbers over pizza and REFRESHMENT at 118 Park Street, SE, Vienna, VA at 730, on the 2nd Wednesday.
