The Mountaineering Section and other local climbers came together the weekend of May 15 to participate in the Mid Atlantic Climber’s second Rockfest event. Mother Nature decided to make her appearance felt this weekend, with what I can only assume was near record levels of rainfall and strong wind.
This did little to damper the spirits of our local volunteers. Together we braved the elements to clear trash from Little Stony Man, White Oak Canyon, and various outlooks along Skyline Drive.
