The Mountaineering Section of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club is the premier rock climbing club for the DC Metro area, and has been for nearly 70 years. Our primary focus as a club is rock climbing. The climbing season for the DC Metro area is typically year round and there are routes in the sun at Great Falls and Crescent Rocks.
