Join us for 5 days of ice climbing and winter adventures in the Adirondacks. The club is renting a large house in Au Sable Forks, NY (near Lake Placid) which we will use as a base for ice climbing, winter mountaineering, and skiing. Beginners are welcome, if you have little or no Ice Climbing experience I would highly recommend you take ice climbing lessons with one of the local guides services & book early, it's President's Day Weekend. The House has a full kitchen including : dishes, pots, pans and so on, you can bring groceries and prepare meals at the House. And/or drive to the Town of Lake Placid & go out to eat, Lake Placid has a good variety of restaurants. The Town of Lake Placid is approx. 25min drive from the House. The House is about a 9-10 hour drive from the D.C. area doing the speed limit. Most participants will be car pooling for this Trip. There are 18 spaces for the House, in order to attend you need to be a current dues payed member of both the mountaineering section PATC-MS and Parent PATC.
